Facilities

The Grand Hall:

The Grand Hall was designed as a concert venue seating over 2,000 guests although its multipurpose layout and flexibility ensures that it can be used for a range of activities and productions including conferences, awards, exhibitions, ceremonies and special events. The Hall also famously hosts many sporting events throughout the year. The Grand Hall has an adaptable stage area and high specification sound, music and lighting systems to enable us to address all your technical needs. The available floor area is large enough to accommodate a Banquet, Awards Dinners or Buffet for several hundred people.

The Charter Theatre:

The Charter Theatre is a smaller venue that has comfortable yet modern facilities with a traditional theatre ambiance seating 780 guests, the ideal venue for not only theatre productions but business seminars and award nights too. The Charter Theatre seating is split between two levels, the Stalls (570) and the Dress Circle (210), each level with its own breakout area including bar and toilet facilities.The Theatre is equipped with excellent sound and lighting systems and 35mm film projection, making it also a perfect setting for open conference sessions.

The Foyer:

The Foyer is a fully enclosed, multi-purpose area on the level immediately below the Grand Hall auditorium and can be used for small-scale staged presentations of theatre or music, seminars, small exhibitions or displays as well as for full service meals and buffets. As this area provides direct access at 4 points into the Grand Hall it can be used either in conjunction with Grand Hall events or separately to host smaller, more intimate affairs.

The Suites

The Lancaster and Avenham Suites offer great multi-functional spaces with capacities of up to 120 respectively. Both rooms have bar and toilet facilities and are great spaces for conference and meeting rooms. The suites can also be divided into breakout rooms to support larger conferences and exhibitions in other parts of the complex. The suites are also ideal for a private function or special event.

The Avenham Suite:

Situated on the top floor of the building, the Avenham Suite is popular as a pleasant hospitality and meeting room for seminars, meals and parties and can also be partitioned off to create private spaces as conference break-out rooms. Adjacent to the Suite is a small bar and lounge area suitable for private meetings, refreshments or laying out a small informal buffet.

The Lancaster Suite:

This superbly flexible hospitality area is perfectly sited just a short distance from both the Grand Hall and Charter Theatre. It features a spacious room incorporating a comfortable bar area, popular with corporate users as the ideal place to entertain business clients or conference guests.
