Comedy for Kids

Hi Kids, do you like to laugh?

After the success of the past two events, I’m really excited to be bringing you my show again; Comedy for Kids, which will feature some of the funniest people from the world of comedy! Our show is aimed directly at you kids, so they are all family friendly but above all else extremely funny!

It will feature jokes, magic and funny songs that will have you rolling about with laughter! All hosted by your favourite Panto star (that’s me) Phil Walker. Oh and make sure you bring your grown-ups so you can explain the jokes to them!

This months line up…

MC Phil Walker
Regulars to the last two annual Pantomimes in Preston will know Phil from his appearances in Jack & the Beanstalk and Sleeping Beauty. Throughout the year though Phil is a comedian so he is delighted to be hosting these family friendly comedy shows right here in Preston.

Act 1 Duncan Oakley
With musical skills that would easily fit into many rock bands, Duncan Oakley performs an infectious mix of musical comedy and stand up. With an eye and ear for the silly, rude, playful and downright irritating occurrences of life, Duncan musters up songs that not only make you laugh, they bury into the recesses of your mind and find you a humming tune with a smile on your face 3 days later, confused and wondering where it’s come from. Duncan has performed for nearly 10 years on the stand up circuit and performs regularly at some of the UK’s bigger weekend clubs as well as festivals, & kids comedy gigs. A talented all-round musician Duncan can also perform with harmonica, drums & piano as a one man musical whirlwind.

Act 2 Steve Royle
As well as his stunning good looks, Steve has a marvellous sense of humour, as that last sentence proves. He’s an actor, writer, comedian, juggler, and a “Gillard Award” winning presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire. His Saturday morning 9am til 11am show means he is now a treat for both cochlea and cornea alike. Steve’s TV credits include Phoenix Nights, Max And Paddy’s Road To Nowhere, Peter Kay’s Britain’s Got The Pop Factor… . Regulars to Blackpool Grand Theatre will know him from his appearances in their annual Pantomimes for quite some time there Steve has held the crowds on stitches with his comic abilities. A firm favourite at all the big comedy clubs as well as families, Steve is sure to tickle your ribs!
