Plus Special Guests ONE SIDED HORSE & THE CAPITAL

ChameleonsVox is the continuation of legendary Chameleons UK, arguably the most influential band ever to come out of Manchester. ChameleonsVox features vocalist, bassist and principle composer Mark Burgess.

The Chameleons were an English post-punk band formed in Middleton, Greater Manchester. The band consisted of singer and bassist Mark Burgess, guitarists Reg Smithies and Dave Fielding, and drummer John Lever.

The Chameleons released their debut album, ‘Script of the Bridge’, in 1983. They shortly followed that with ‘What Does Anything Mean? Basically’ and ‘Strange Times’ in 1985 and 1986 before disbanding in 1987 due to the sudden death of the band’s manager.

In 2009, Burgess and Lever reformed to play Chameleons back catalogue material, under the name ChameleonsVox. They issued an EP, ‘M+D=1(8), in November 2013. Sadly Lever died in 2017 however Burgess carries ChameleonsVox on.

Icons of British melodic hard rock FM are hitting Preston Guild Hall!

FM formed in 1984 and quickly hit the road touring with the likes of Meat Loaf, Tina Turner, Foreigner, Gary Moore, Status Quo and the white-hot Bon Jovi on their “Slippery When Wet” tour. Their debut album INDISCREET was released in 1986 to great critical acclaim.

For the next 12 years FM consolidated their position at the forefront of British melodic rock, touring extensively to promote releases such as 1989’s TOUGH IT OUT album and 1992’s APHRODISIAC.

FM’s touring schedule for 2017 got underway with a set at HRH AOR in March followed by the band’s first-ever show in Greece. In May they returned to Norwich and Nantwich and August will saw them take part in a unique triple-headline bill with The Quireboys and Gun at Chepstow Castle. Later in the year FM head to Germany for appearances at Escape Open Air and H.E.A.T. festivals.

FM will be hitting our LiVe venue in February 2019, bringing their hard-hitting brand of melodic rock that has delighted so many fans to our stage. The band’s lineup consists of Steve Overland (vocals, guitar), Merv Goldsworthy (bass), Pete Jupp (drums), Jem Davis (keyboards), Jim Kirkpatrick (guitar).

Following their astounding appearances on the eleventh series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2017, mind reading duo DNA are taking their brand new show called ‘We Know What You’re Thinking’ out on a UK tour.

Andrew and Darren, best known as mind reading double act DNA, took the nation by storm when they appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2017 with their incredible telepathic ability known as “The Gift”. Wowing the judges, live audience and viewers at home, the duo went on to reach the live finals of the hit ITV talent show.

Performed completely live, they can ask volunteers to concentrate on the name of celebrities, telephone numbers, credit card numbers, a word in a book, the name of the street they grew up on, a relative’s name… literally anything. With devastating speed and accuracy, the pair are then able to reveal what that name, number or word is, every time.

Their unique mind reading performances have now been enjoyed by tens of millions of people around the world. Aptly named ’The Gift’, the duo have created a show that will blow minds and prove that the impossible really is possible – but only for them!

This brand new show features world exclusive, never before seen material that is being showcased for the very first time!

The Smiths 35 – A celebration of the debut LP + hits and more!

MORE THAN A TRIBUTE – THE SMITHS EXPERIENCE

“We formed the band back in 2003 because of our passion for The Smiths. We didn’t just want to be a tribute band – we wanted to play the music of The Smiths and recreate what is was to see and hear The Smiths live – it just happens that when you do that, the world calls you a tribute. For us that was a world of silly wigs and props – everything we felt a homage to The Smiths shouldn’t be. So we spent a year rehearsing every week to make sure that when we launched we sounded genuine – The Smiths and their fans (like us) demand nothing less. We focussed on the sound and spirit of The Smiths live. Fast forward 11 years and some 500 shows later and we see and hear ourselves now spoken of as being in the top tier of tributes globally. The years in between have seen us play throughout the UK, overseas and at major festivals such as Glastonbury. We’ve appeared on numerous TV and radio shows and many a newspaper column written. The word tribute has also developed and grown in respect in that time, coming to represent something that is not silly or trite but the best way to see and experience the music of bands no longer with us played by artists who are as passionate and dedicated to their shows as actors and actresses. It’s a pleasure and privilege to be seen as the foremost tribute to The Smiths.”

Cloudbusting have been championed by BBC ONE as one of the most authentic tributes in the world.

Their passion for Kate’s music has won over sceptical fans everywhere, challenging perceptions of what a tribute band can be and resulting in sell-out performances across the UK.

‘There can only be one Kate Bush’ says vocalist Mandy Watson, who never attempts to mimic Kate on stage. ‘When you sing her music the characters in the songs take over – they are what you become, not Kate. We’re just fans, amazed at this opportunity to perform this music we love so much’

Many of Kate’s original collaborators from stage and studio have been inspired to join the band on stage, including bass player Del Palmer, drummer Preston Heyman and dancer Stewart Avon Arnold, all of whom performed with Kate on her legendary Tour of Life live shows 40 years ago.

‘I could have been listening to Kate herself!’ – Preston Heyman

Running Up That Hill, Wuthering Heights, Hounds of Love, Babooshka, This Woman’s Work, Wow… Cloudbusting can’t wait to whip up a storm of love for Kate’s music once again in 2019, their new show featuring all the hits you’d expect as well as many songs you wouldn’t! Accompanied by eye-popping visuals that highlight the drama of Kate’s music, a Cloudbusting concert is an event no Kate Bush fan will want to miss.

Less tribute and more homage, Nearly Dan is saviour to the growing legions of Dan fans, desperate to hear the meticulously crafted grooves and allusive lyrical style of Donald Fagen & Walter Becker.

Nearly Dan’s approach is faithful, though not reverential, and relaxed but as tight as their namesakes. They bring their own unique spirit and spontaneous humour to every concert.

It’s been over 40 years since the release of the first Steely Dan album “Can’t buy a Thrill”, featuring the hits  “Do it Again” and “Reelin’ in the years.”

The band now in its 21st  year on the road. Nearly Dan promise all the Steely Dan favourites in a two hour-plus show, featuring tracks from the groove of Countdown to Ecstasy to the super cool of celebrated albums The Royal Scam. Aja and Gaucho also featuring Donald Fagen’s classic solo masterpiece “The Nightfly”

A real treat for all music lovers and an unmissable concert for any aspiring musician young or old.
