You shall go to the Ball! This year’s Panto is Cinderella!

Preston Guild Hall are delighted to announce that this year’s Pantomime will be Cinderella! Welcoming back the hilarious comedian Phil Walker, who will once again be writing and directing the show as well as starring in it!

His productions of Sleeping Beauty, Jack and the Beanstalk and Aladdin received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike and we’re delighted that he’s with us again for 2018!

The eponymous heroine will be played by Jade Natalie, who is best known for her role as the pixie-haired and bespectacled member of Nick Jr’s childrens pop band ‘Go!Go!Go!’, who have performed 3 times on the West End, had two national theatre tours, successfully entered the UK official charts in 2014 with their album ‘Radio Go!Go!Go!’. Natalie has also starred in productions of Romeo and Juliet, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin, and Sleeping Beauty. Natalie is said to be ‘thrilled to be performing at Preston Guild Hall this year.’

Playing Prince Charming Will be Natalie’s co-star from Go!Go!Go!, singer, songwriter, and actor Carl Tracey. His Pantomime credits include the role of Peter Pan, Prince Charming in ‘Cinderella’, ‘Beast’ in ‘Beauty & The Beast’ ‘Aladdin’, from last year’s Panto here in Preston!

Playing the roles of the ugly sisters will be the dynamic duo that is Jamie Morris and Tarot Joseph. Morris, an established and formidable entertainer, first began his career at the age of 19, and has since worked with many number one theatres in the UK, alongside big names such as Anna Karen, Ruth Madoc, Amanda Barrie, and Keith Chegwin. Joseph also has a wealth of experience within the entertainment industry, having been a DJ for a number of years, as well as being a talented costume designer, creating his own wigs for himself and Morris. The two own J & T Productions Blackpool Ltd, and this will be the 10th Panto in which they have played the Ugly Sisters alongside each other.

Bringing a sense of wit and magic to the show will be Canadian comedian Allyson June Smith in the role of the Fairy Godmother. Smith, who has won awards for her comedy in her native Canada, and who is now settled in Manchester, was described by Jason Manford as “Simply one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever worked with,”.

The role of Dandini, the Prince’s faithful manservant, goes to Jack Harper, a young actor who was raised in Oldham, and has starred in Cold Feet, Broken, Free Rein, and had roles on stage in Our Day Out and Political Will.

Playing Baron Hardup, Cinderella’s father, it’s Charlie Cairoli Jr.! As the son of the famous clown Charlie Cairoli, Charlie Jr. spent the first ten years of his career performing in their musical comedy and slosh acts in the tower circus in Blackpool. He quickly established his own brand of zany slapstick humour after taking over the role from his father. His TV credits include Crackerjack, Krazy Kitchen, and a televised 80th birthday of the London Palladium show.

Take a look at the highlights from our panto Aladdin (Dec 17 to Jan 18)!
